About the Program

The purpose of the Kittitas County Ambassador program is to promote the fair and the numerous opportunities available to get involved in the Kittitas County Fair. This program is sponsored by the Kittitas County Fair and Friends of the Kittitas County Fairgrounds Foundation.

Eligibility: Each application must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Be a high school junior or senior for the upcoming school year
  • Live within the boundaries of Kittitas County
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Never have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony offense

Terms: June 1st of current Fair year to May 31st of next year. Ambassadors can reapply for the position the following year, if they still meet eligibility requirements.


Process of Selection: The Kittitas County Fair Board will select up to four (4) applicants to represent the Kittitas County Fair as Ambassadors. Each candidate is required to complete an application and submit it along with an essay, letter of recommendation, resume, and signed acknowledgement of the rules and obligations. The application is located on the Fair website and is due on April 15. Candidates will be invited to a required interview set by the Fair Board Director overseeing the Fair Ambassador program before final selections are made.
