Coloring Contest Details

RULES

Contest open to children or adults of any age
One (1) entry per person

AGE CATEGORIES

Ages 1 – 5
Ages 6 – 9
Ages 10 – 13
Ages 14 – 17
Ages 18+

TO ENTER

Choose only one of the coloring sheets to submit as your entry (Download a sheet below or stop by the Fair office for a copy)
Contestant’s name and age group at time of submission
Contact info (email & phone number)
Turn in colored sheet to the Kittitas County Fair office at 901 E. 7th Ave. or by emailing a scanned copy to fairgrounds@co.kittitas.wa.us.
Only one coloring sheet per person will be considered

PRIZES
The winner of each age group will receive the following:

1 day pass for entry to any one day of the fair
1 voucher to redeem for an all-day carnival ride bracelet
Day pass and carnival voucher are only good for the 2026 Kittitas County Fair (9/3/2026-9/7/2026) and are not redeemable for cash.

REGULATIONS

Entries for contestants aged 17 and under must include parent's or guardian’s name, email, and phone number.
Incomplete entries may be discarded without notice. Please be sure you include all entry information.
Entrants submitted coloring sheets may be used in print, online, social media sites, video or otherwise promotional materials.
All coloring sheet entries will be displayed during the 2026 Kittitas County Fair.
Winner’s coloring sheet, first name, and age group may be used in promotions in print, online, social media sites, video or otherwise.
Winners will be chosen at random from each age group, totaling 5 winners overall.
Contest runs now until August 20, 2026. Winners will be posted soon thereafter.
Winners will be notified by email.

By entering a contest submission to the Kittitas County Fair, you agree to all rules and regulations of the contest.

2026 Kid's Joke Contest Registration

We are so excited to bring back the Kid's Joke Contest at the Kittitas County Fair!

The contest will be held at 12:15PM on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the KXLE Main Stage in the park following our Opening Ceremony. The contest is open to all children ages 4 - 13. Winners will be scored on a scale by our judges. There will be prizes for the winners, including carnival ride bracelets. All contestants will receive free entry on competition day if registered before the deadline (August 28th). More information and instructions will be emailed as the event gets closer.

I hereby give my permission to the Kittitas Valley Event Center to use my or my child’s photograph publically to promote the Kittitas County Fair. I represent that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor child named below, or I have obtained permission from the parent/legal guardian of the minor child named below to execute this agreement on their behalf. I understand that the images may be used in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites and/or social media and relinquish any right that I or my minor child may have to examine or approve the completed product(s) that may be used. I also understand that no royalty, fee, or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.

HOLD HARMLESS WAIVER

In consideration of the county accepting this entry, I, intending for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and or assigns, to be legally bound, assume all risks of any injury to my person or property and waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against Kittitas County, its agencies, agents, officers, employees, and sponsors for any and all injuries and damages suffered to me or my property in, or arising out of, this event or during any transit to/from this event.

Further, I hereby agree to hold harmless, indemnify and defend Kittitas County, its agencies, agents, officers, employees, and sponsors from any claims of third parties arising out of my participation in this event or during transit to/from this event.

Bale Bucking Contest

Big bucks are on the line with the return of the popular Bale Bucking Contest. Teams of two will compete to log the fastest time for a grand prize of $1,000! New this year a second place prize of $500 will also be awarded. Contests are available for several age groups and there is no entry fee. Entry includes fair admission.

Calling all artists to unleash their talents to turn round hay bales into stunning masterpieces! The aim of the Round Hay Bale Decorating Contest is to bring together individuals to celebrate agriculture and America's 250 birthday. Unleash your imagination as you bring this theme to life using paint, fabric, accessories and decorations.
